The build of this car is high-tech and high maintenance, but it is very fun to drive.. The sealed transmission requires a specialized fluid, and only certain transmission shops will flush a charger's transmission. The sensors tell you when tires need to be inflated, rotated or if the tread is running thin. The engine requires a special grade of motor oil that is expensive, but it takes more time for the oil to require changing. Besides those high-maintenance pointers, the car accelerates very quickly, and the ride is exceptionally smooth. Driving on the expressway gives me a rush because not only can I go faster than most other cars, but people think I am driving a unmarked police car and they get out of the way or slow down. It is sort of fun, although maybe mean, but hey, I am not ac... (more)
Story
Me and a friend drove 3 hours out the city to visit a military friend and hang out for his birthday. We partied until 6 am, and drove back into town right after. We had so much fun, even though we were very exhausted the next 2 days.
Pros
It has fast acceleration. The brake system is very tight. The seats are comfortable. The car gets great gas mileage, and at $3 a gallon, I can fill up the tank with $35 and ride more than a week. There is spacious leg room in the front and back. My car has both air conditioner and a sunroof, so there are multiple ways to cool off or let air circulate throughout the car. The car rides very smoothly, you hardly feel any bumps in the road.
Cons
The maintenance on the car is quite expensive. The insurance rate is high on the car because its considered a fast driving car. The car requires specific tires in order for the speed calibration to be correct, and those cost $200 each minimum. The Transmission is sealed, and requires a certain oil, which can only be found at the dealership and costs $8 a quart. Because it is sealed, you must purchase a $100 tool just to check the fluid levels, which does not come with the car. The engine and coolant oils are also specialized fluids that can be difficult to find.

The car has a very appealing contour. It looks like a sports car. Actually, it looks like a undercover police car. I liked the cherry red color, the sexy look to it, and the smooth ride immediately when I test drove it. It rides very smoothly, and accelerates fast. It also very efficient when it comes to gas, 1 full tank lasts about a week. The brakes were the only thing that concerned me at first, because the car does not sop exactly where you want it to, it is as if it moves a few inches forward before it stops. In addition, the traction sensor is very sensitive, so it comes on often. Otherwise, this car is a great gift for your self or for the significant other, but I would not recommend buying it for a teen or inexperienced driver. It takes some getting used to when it comes to han... (more)
Story
When I first bought the car, after putting on new tires, me and my son took a road trip to West Virginia, and we spent the night in the car at a scenic view near the mountains. The next morning on our way back into the city, we stopped at other scenic views and took in the scenery. It was peaceful and serene and our first journey in our new car.
Pros
It is efficient on gas and requires very little maintenance. Additionally, the ride is smooth and enjoyable. When riding over bumps in the road, the car absorbs almost all of the shock. When standing at a red light that turns green, you quickly notice that the car accelerates at a higher than normal speed, leaving behind the other drivers on the road quickly behind in the rear view. When I am out in traffic, everyone turns and looks at the car, then at me. I guess they are wondering how I could afford such a classy, expensive car
Cons
Even though the car requires very little maintenance, when it does require maintenance, it is expensive. Nothing is typical when it comes to this car. From the motor oil to the transmission fluid, all the fluids in this car are specially formulated. That means not only are the products expensive, they can be difficult to locate as well. Additionally, you Must take this car to a specialized shot in order to receive repairs, wither the dealership or a dodge specific repair shop. Not a lot of mechanics are knowledgeable about the vehicle, and most repairs require power tools instead of your n... (more)

My Dakota’s ran over 160,000 miles and it will likely run for, at the very least, another 60,000 more. It’s been a solid work truck which has been dependable on thousands of work sites, countless different jobs, employers, and tasks and still has yet to junk up. I live in Michigan where they salt the roads intensely in the winter, and in the summer too just for fun, and as such, the bodies of most trucks don’t hold up too well. While the body has succumb to rust, almost all cars in the area have, and I can count the times the I washed the car on one hand over 15 years, so given that, the body has stood up well. The interior is nice, it’s felt, and mine still has a tape-deck, rolling windows and no power locks, although I bought mine off of Mormon missionaries, so I’m sure most of the s... (more)
Story
I was hauling a 30-40 foot ladder a good 20 miles away to a house I was painting, taking all the side streets and going slower than a turtle, freaking out the ladder would fall out of my truck. I made it to the house and made quite a bit of money.
Pros
Reliable. Safe. Affordable. Fuel economy is decent. Good sized bed.
Cons
Requires bearing maintenance often. Tires for it are expensive.
