Despite production stopping over 20 years ago, the Ford Bronco is still one of the best used trucks you can get for the money. The motor options (5.0 or 5.7 liter) are nearly indestructible, and the 4x4 refuses to die. Whether you are using the truck for work or for pleasure, the Bronco will never disappoint. For those that enjoy working on their vehicles themselves, the setup of the engine and drivetrain makes it easy that anyone with even minimal mechanical knowledge can perform the repairs themselves.
Story
As soon as I bought the truck, we took it on a weekend camping and off-roading trip in Upstate New York. After driving through about five feet of water, I thought that I would have caused severe damage to it. Not only did the Bronco make it out unscathed, but it was one of the most fun weekends of my life.
Pros
For a compact truck, the Bronco is extremely spacious. With two bucket seats in the front and three rear seats in the second row, you can comfortably fit both family and friends. The ground clearance is amazing for a truck this cheap, allowing you to go off-road whenever you please. Traction and weight distribution are superb for asphalt, snow, or dirt. The abundance of aftermarket parts make repairing and customizing the truck extremely simple.
Cons
Being a '90s vehicle, the truck tends to develop rust in certain places. The gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired, especially when using it for heavy duty work. Certain trim parts, such as the plastic interior trim, can be hard to come by and therefore expensive. The cloth interior can become dirty over time, and usually requires either a deep cleaning or a complete replacement. Electric window motors tend to burn out over time.

Well, I bought this Bronco used from a repair shop. They took out all the bells and whistles that the previous owner had installed, which saddened me, but whatever. It was still an interesting ride.
Story
I lost control of it while speeding down the road, once. It was on a two-lane road with a 55 MPH speed limit. I was doing around 80. I was young and inexperienced, and I got real nervous as more cars were coming down the other lane in the other direction. There was a bend in the road and that was where I lost it. I swerved side to side. I nearly side swiped at least one vehicle. Eventually I s... (more)
Pros
It had a lot of room and it was built like a tank. I loved the powerful V8 engine, which was great for going uphill.
Cons
It was a gas guzzler. I think I was getting around ten miles to the gallon and I had to fill it up once a week.

Very pleased and recommending to all my friends! I knew the car I wanted, shopped around (no joke). They beat the quote ($$$) i got from BMW dealership and other leasing places in Brooklyn for the very same car (checked by stock number)! it took 3 weeks (car was still on the boat from Germany) and literally 20 min signing all paperwork!
