This car performs really well. I haven't had any problems with it since I bought it. It's really quiet, sometimes it's almost too quiet and I don't realize that it's running! This car accommodates a family really well and is very convenient for car seats. It's also great to travel in, as you can put the whole back row down and have a lot of space to haul stuff.
Story
We take this car to go practice shooting our bows. We can fit 2 bows in their cases, a case full of arrows, a block target, and my son's football bag in the back (we have to drop him off on the way). It works out perfect!
Pros
It runs very smooth. Great for car seats as it has bucket seats in the middle row. Fits 7 people total. Has a lot of trunk space, especially if you put the back row of seats down. You can also split the back seat and either put 2/3 of it down, or one third of it down if you need more trunk space, but still need to put a few people in the back. Heated seats. The front passenger and the back passengers have their own controls for heat and AC, so everyone can ride comfortably. It has plenty of power to accelerate quickly and get up to speed on the freeway. It's all wheel drive and handles rea... (more)
Cons
It doesn't get great gas mileage, but it's not too bad compared to other SUV's. There's not a ton of leg space in the back seat; you can't put your feet under the front seat, so it gets a little cramped if you're going for a very long ride. There is something wrong with the airbag sensor on mine, so it's always telling me to get the air bags serviced, which is kind of annoying.

This vehicle is spacious enough for hauling my family around town plus a couple friends. I love the Bose entertainment system where we can plug in and listen to our favorite tunes from our phones, our favorite radio station, CD, or even let the kids watch a movie. The seats are comfortable and easy to load everyone in. The car handles very well and has enough power even hauling a boat. Steering wheel controls make it easy to control the phone and radio and cruise control. Other controls are easy to navigate, everything only a touch away. Fuel economy is not the best, but I would expect as much from an AWD SUV. Space is also a little tight when packing for a vacation or trip.
Story
We can always hook up the boat and head out to the lake anytime.
Pros
Looks and seating are the top things I like about this vehicle. I also love the DVD screen. I like that the third row can be folded down with all, only one or only two seats.
Cons
I use a lot of gas driving around town. Space is limited when pacing for a vacation if all of the seats are full.

The third-row seating of the GMC Acadia caught my attention first. As a mother of two, driving a sedan was becoming more impractical as they grew, and I knew we needed more space. After looking at reviews of top rated third-row vehicles, the Acadia was a clear standout for us—it had not only the nicest exterior appearance, but the interior was just as nice. It had great ratings for reliability, and the cost wasn't too high.
Story
Any road trip our family takes is now fun. My children especially love when their grandparents can join them in the third row. Before if we went anywhere, my parents had to drive a separate car. Now we can all drive in one vehicle together.
Pros
The Acadia is aesthetically pleasing. We test drove both this and the Chevrolet Traverse since they are similar cars but were willing to pay a higher price for the Acadia, because we liked the appearance so much more. The ride is smooth and quiet, the features are very user friendly, and there is plenty of room within the vehicle. Instead of having to cram my one and four year olds into their car seats, my four-year-old can now climb into the vehicle himself and even have room to walk around (while parked, of course)! I especially enjoy the second row captain's seats, which was a key facto... (more)
Cons
The only negative I can think of is that if all three rows are upright, there is not a lot of cargo space. There's still an adequate amount for groceries and smaller items but doesn't seem like enough space for seven passengers and all of their luggage together. The price was a little higher than I was hoping for, but I do feel we got a fair deal and we also ended up with a higher trim level than I initially targeted, so that's to be expected.
